Extremely upset that Soulwax has been touring everywhere except New York and was actually considering flying on over to LA to see Hard 2010 just for them. But alas, nobody has thrown cash moneys at me to have financed that trip. So, was very happy to see this set uploaded (sans audience noises!!), so we can all pretend we were at LA and rock out to the epicness that is Soulwax.

Oh hai dere. Sorry for the long hiatus - there was frolicking to be done in Europe for the last 2.5 weeks so now we catching up for a bit. Any time a new Soulwax remix comes out I pee myself a little bit so I’m pretty hyped for this one. Don’t think its their best LCD Soundsystem remix but its still pretty great. It has the distorted bass that is typical of most Soulwax remixes - also love how it just builds and drones on starting at around 4:11.

New mix by A-Trak using Drake’s “Money to Blow”. Fun and synthy; A-Trak seems to be off on this truncated sampling recently (evidenced from his “Heads Will Roll” remix) by using David Guetta’s “Toyfriend” to mash up with Drake. Even more exciting, this is a new song off of A-Trak’s yet to be released Dirty South Dance 2. Don’t know about you guys but the original Dirty South Dance was one of the first albums that lead me into this whole electronic dance scene. One of the most mindblowing things I heard back then. Needless to say, I am super excited for the next volume.

Can’t quite find the title of this track. Something to do with animals and forests and jungles and you. Great track though - honestly getting a bit tired of Crookers recently but this definitely makes them awesome again. Also love hearing anything that has Soulwax’s name remotely near it.
Song will be released on Crooker’s Tons of Friends in March 2010.
