Elite Force’s rework of his original “Engine” is really enough to make this song sound awesome. It’s bass-heavy and makes you feel like you are in a techno city or something. Beth Ditto’s voice fits surprisingly well with it - I also love when he chops up her vocals because for some reason, she always sounds good when twitchy. To promote the release of “Transmission” off of Power, Boys Noize has some fun remixers onboard including Djedjtronic and Mr. Oizo. Whereas the original is a bit more subtle and smooth with a focus on heavy sounds, Mr. Oizo’s version is incredibly cut up, distorted and frenetic.
