Tweeted this earlier but I think it deserves a proper post. New mix by Mehdi and Riton’s project, Carte Blanche. Housey goodness of course with some new goodies including their latest single featuring the amazing Kid Sister, “Do! Do! Do!”. Here’s Carte Blanche’s motivation behind the mix:
We made this thinking of what could be the best thing to play at your house, on a friday night, when your friends are bumrushing your flat and your neighbours/parents/neighbourhood cops are out of town.
Their EP, Black Billionaires, is set to be released on May 31st through Ed Banger.

To kick off their new mixtape series, Handsome Clothing has teamed up with Dubbel Dutch, a DJ/producer out of Texas. He just did some mixes for some big names like XLR8R and Discobelle - I can see why. Rhapsodic Volume 1 is a diverse dance mix ranging from rave-friendly music to some ghetto-tech. Definitely will get you moving for the weekend.

Was just wondering what happened to these guys but thank god they are back. “This New Technology” is still out for release which you can buy over at Acephale Records. Their new single, “Vital Signs” comes out on Siberia Records on April 9th. Check out their new mixtape - starts off really mellow, gets a bit trippy/spacey at moments and then picks up near the end.

New mixtape promoting the release of the new documentary The Electro Wars. No guarantees that the documentary will be revolutionary but as an electronic music fan, I highly recommend watching the trailer. The choice of interviewees is interesting - ranges from A-Trak, Dave 1, Franki Chan, MSTRKRFT and Spank Rock, to Lil Jon, LMFAO, Pitbull, and 3Oh!3. Its an interesting look at the rise of electro music and looks to explore issues like the democratization of music production, the mainstream popularity of electro music today, the over-saturation and hype of remixes, etc.. More info at The Electro Wars.
About the mixtape, its mixed by De Grote Vinnie, Donnie & Sjakie Show of acapella remix fame and features a ton of fun electro songs (hey there Die Antewoord remix!). Good energetic mix. Check out the tracklist below:

Super fun mix of funk, some r&b and electronic influences including both new and old songs. Seriously the mix totally puts a smile on my face. Check out the tracklist:
