Performance ‘The Living’ (Mighty Mouse Remix) by Mighty Mouse

Haven’t heard of Mighty Mouse? Well if you liked the The Swiss Remix we posted of “Moonlight Hours”, you’ll totally dig this. Totally reminds me of The Twelves in its good vibes and disco-influences. Buy the track on Beatport if you are super into it! Also, make sure to check out their Soundcloud for some free goodies (this remix just makes me way too jolly to not put up), including their 4 volume original “Song for No One”.

LISTEN: “Flash Delirium” by MGMT

New MGMT today that has already exploded around the internet. Even though I’m totally feeling this track, don’t expect this to sound exactly like Oracular Spectacular’s “Kids”, “Time to Pretend”, etc.. “Flash Delirium” is totally 60s rock/pop influenced.

MGMT - Flash Delirium

The single MGMT’s MGMT wants you to listen to today. No hard feelings Billy H.

LISTEN: “Dance of the Pseudo Nymph” by Flying Lotus

tuneage:

New Flying Lotus? New Flying Lotus.

Music outlets worldwide have been abuzz with any and every new piece of music that his name has graced since details of another Flying Lotus “space opera,” Cosmogramma, have trickled out. There’s the new track “Quakes” from the recent Warp Records compilation 2010. You’ve got new “non-album” tracks that Warp have graciously set free. Or the super wonky (but so awesome) Lil’ Wayne remixes that FlyLo decided to drop at his site. If that’s not exciting enough for you, none other than Thom Yorke will be making an appearance on the upcoming album.

OK, enough with the hype, on to the goods. We’re now getting the first batch of promo tracks from the new album, and it appears as though the man has upped the ante from 2008’s most excellent Los Angeles. In particular, I’m really digging the falling guitar lines and bounce-clap of “Dance Of The Pseudo Nymph.” Gilles Peterson broadcasted the world premier on his radio show only last week. And we got your back now with the full version.

Cosmogramma is due out on May 4th in the U.S. gregb

I like? I like.

LISTEN: “Fan Out” by Surkin

One last post before our big party at Identity Bar. Haven’t heard much from Surkin recently but this new original production was dropped on BBC’s Radio 1 recently. This video is a radio rip but good god, it’s so worth it. Really big track - kind of spacey and disco-y but still definitely a banger. Can’t wait till the real thing comes out.

LISTEN: On The Vista (feat. Mos Def) by Blakroc

via headunderwater:

Probably my favorite song off this project with one of my favorite hip-hop artist. If you don’t know much or anything about Blackroc, just know it’s a rock rap collaboration overseen by Damon Dash between The Black Keys and popular rap artist such as RZA, Mos Def, Jim Jones, singer Nicole Wray and NOE. There is a trailer that goes along with this that you can see here.

DOWNLOAD: “Thernody” by SebastiAn

ed banger xmas

Ever so slowly catching up on “old” tracks. New one from Ed Banger’s SebastiAn who has a new album this year, which I’m not going to lie, I’m completely pissing my pants for.

ON THE OTHER HAND, “Threnody” is a 13 minute song with essentially an 11 minute build up of noise and static into a ridiculous electro head-banging beat which lasts for 30 seconds ish before decrescendoing. Skip forward to 11:17 for the madness. How cruel SebastiAn.

LISTEN: Crookers featuring Soulwax and Mixhell

Can’t quite find the title of this track. Something to do with animals and forests and jungles and you. Great track though - honestly getting a bit tired of Crookers recently but this definitely makes them awesome again. Also love hearing anything that has Soulwax’s name remotely near it.

Song will be released on Crooker’s Tons of Friends in March 2010.
