To promote the release of “Transmission” off of Power, Boys Noize has some fun remixers onboard including Djedjtronic and Mr. Oizo. Whereas the original is a bit more subtle and smooth with a focus on heavy sounds, Mr. Oizo’s version is incredibly cut up, distorted and frenetic.

Its funny how being in a different environment can change the way you feel about a song. I first heard this a while back and wasn’t too into it (maybe its because I really like the original) but after seeing Boys Noize this past weekend at Summerstage, I think I love it. He closed out his set with this remix and the crowd basically went nuts. The calm and almost spacey nature of the song was perfect for playing outside among trees.
